I was reading a letter yesterday who mentioned someone who wanted to stand as a Labour candidate in local elections but were turned down because they had got into arrears on their Council Tax.
Do I remember correctly that former Deputy Prime Minister Heseltine had been made Bankrupt more times than Del Trotter.
We had Tory Prime Ministers and others who were overlooked as Paedophiles because the Police couldn't rock the "Establishment" and we have god knows how many pages about Corbyn.
Well you have your dictatorship if you want see how things go when the Tories haver no opposition, perhaps you could even volunteer to do away with the monarchy. I don't like Corbyn but I bloody Hate the scum bag multi £millionaires playing with this countries future.

You cannot possibly believe what you hear and read in the media. Possibly up to the 1990's you could but since media agency's main source of income is from the Stocks and Shares markets that they run - they will not publish anything detrimental that will affect the shareholders. Consequently, we get false news just as the people of the USA have been getting organised reports for decades.
You hear that the Government is cutting back on financing the councils - true, but this is because for far too long Councils have been frivolous with people's money and now the Councils are being forced to have more accountability.
You hear that there are cutbacks in the Police Authority. Not quite true - there may have been cutbacks in certain sectors, but the Police have been distributed into other sectors to make them more efficient in line with electronic data and sources.
You hear that some spy has been poisoned and that it must be Russia. You are not told that the USA has now obtained rights to gas from the Middle East and has been building pipelines to use for piping gas to Europe in opposition to Russia who is at present supplying Europe with 40% of its domestic fuel. Denounce Russia and take over the highly profitable supply lines. Bribe Europe with cut price fuel supplies and the USA are in.

Everything you read and hear has a second meaning. Your children will be fine, they will never go without - but they will never be able to change the World either.

OK! But don't both Oxford and Cambridge now have a two tier education system where the elite students study separate to the non elite? Don't both these Universities offer places to mainly those students in the South of England even if students in the North have higher grades?

In Cambridge University, there are three female colleges. For Newnham, according to their admissions criteria - students do not require to have any A levels. Of the three colleges it is the only one that has maintained that non requirement. The history classes that are taught, involve one lecture a week on the students choice of topics. Grades are awarded according to weekly essays written on those topics.

I don't know when you attended the University - but the levels most definitely have changed at both Oxford and Cambridge since the 1980's. For many able students the topics are not focussed sufficiently on their chosen fields or their chosen topics are not covered at those establishments at all. My neighbour's daughter was a straight A student. She wanted to study Geography but all that was offered was Environmental Geography which is a very much diluted form of the subject. She chose another University, Cardiff and graduated with a First in her chosen subject.

Basically all incorrect. If any of that was true, then Oxford and Cambridge would not be independently ranked in the top 5 in the world. As this is abbot anther Dianne Abbott actually got a proper degree, Oxbridge in the 1970s/80s when i was there is more relevant.
