    Thumbs down Corbyn's Labour Party

With Labour 9 points ahead of the Tories nationally and several points ahead of the Tories in the seat of Southport, I think we should all face the reality that Britain will soon have a Labour government and that Southport will soon have a Labour MP.

That might not be such a bad thing.

Labour's parliamentary candidate for Southport (Liz Savage) is from Liverpool originally, but she now lives in Tarleton which is virtually on our town's doorstep. And she comes across as a nice woman.

And if we elect a Labour MP maybe Sefton's Labour council will be less hostile towards Southport.

Their alleged manifesto has already had more alterations than clothing for a yo-yo dieter, heading into Brexit negotiations with no clear idea of what they hope to achieve and certainly no agreed plan.

Don't agree totally with everything Corbyn aims for, but a far more viable and fairer alternative than the mercenary Tories, who know the price of everything but the cost of nothing.

A damn sight more use than some out of town Tory who needs a guide to actually find the place, plus with a bit of luck we may just get people who can work with the local council instead of the continual antsifest we have had for years.

    ?

You have had a Lib Dem dude for years.

Southport is not multicultural or industrial or poverty challenged.
It does not have heavily oversubscribed schools or crumbling social
    housing.

Just what would a Labour MP spend his time complaining about bearing in mind as towns go Southport's population is not high on the list of
    disadvantaged as towns go.

Much better idea of and contact with the people, Tories, as long as the Stock Market and the banks are profitable, their main core supporters are OK, then sod the rest, everyone else can be written off as fit only to do the bidding of their bosses, knowing their place and doing as they are told, unfortunately for the Tories, more are beginning to question the mushroom philosophy and are asking questions which Tories can't handle.

You say "the blind leading the blind" even if that was true it's much better than those who see clearly, leading the blindfolded, muzzled and gagged.

In your own words, what are saying is that the Tories are the party of the well heeled, while Southport may not have the problems of many towns, but it's residents are certainly not universally wealthy by any means.

Interesting, I think most people are against the idea of children getting raped and Radical Islamic Terrorism.

Labour councillor Shakil Ahmed in Rochdale was a character witness for multiple convicted members of an islamic Grooming Gang and his son has attempted travelling to Syria to fight for ISIS.

What is labours response? To ignore it

How many more people like this in a position of power are they protecting through their lack of action?

I am saying that a Southport MP should represent the interests of the Town reliant on Capitalism to survive as a tourist resort.

Bury relies on its all round season manufacturing and retail industry.
The population has increased due to jobs and booming birthrate.

Labour voters are as 'well heeled' as any other voters in Bury because Capitalism works for all Socialists on paper even if they spout the good red book to get elected.
