Closing down - grantham road chippy

I learned earlier today that Grantham Rd Chippy in Birkdale will close down for good after last servings tomorrow night.
I used to go here a lot back in the day.

Apparently it is being turned into some kind of salon for nails etc....

That was "The Best local chippy" by far,as they always cooked the food when ordering,and the fish were some of the best tasting you could get,as they were dried properly when cooked,lying the fish on its edge to drain the fat,there are no other fish friars locally who do that,and almost always placing the cooked fish on the back in the heat cabinets.They will be sorely missed by the many regular users of the chippy.
