Grassroots, quite why you thought organising a GTG, that involved a sit down meal in a Turkish eatery is beyond me!
Apart from a Xmas lunch a few years ago, organised and paid for by John (Antiquesman), all other GTG's have been a casual meet at a pub/bar such as the Bold, the Hesketh, the Metropole, or the Fishermans rest etc. People came and went, and some stayed for the duration, but in each case had a good attendance over the evening.
Admirable of you to try to organise something, but it has to suit all not just a few to be any sort of success.

In recent memory sue ellen, don't think there are many left from SGB in here these days, let alone from the early days?

Individuals will place their own orders and will settle their own bill .
I have eaten at the Havin and always found it good .
So if those attending please state on the forum by name .on Thurs 21 st I will confirm numbers with the Havin .
Apologies for not notifying member sooner but I have had other things to attend to .
Last year we had a nice evening chatting over a drink and it was suggested that this year we have a meal .
I hope this is convenient to the majority who wish to attend and have an enjoyable evening chatting with friends.
Not my type of venue. The reviews found on the internet are a bit dubious.
