Carragher Spitting
So after disgustingly showing his true colours Carragher now wants to apologise - too late- there is no excuse for that repulsive act ,and the only reason he wants to apologise is he got caught on camera ! Oh and maybe losing the £1000,000 he gets from sky might have something to do with it . Sky and any other companies he is associated with need to drop him NOW - he is a disgrace and no role model to up and coming young footballers - or any youngster for that matter .

Can you imagine the furore if a fan spat at him and his daughter? Neither bloke was in the right but if your reaction to banter is to spit at someone then that shows what little respect you have for others. The Sky news reporter Sarah Hewson really laid into him in that interview, nearly had him in tears - good, shouldn't be so up his own backside. He's a ex-footballer not a Nobel prize winner.

Rotten shot anyway assuming he meant to spit at the father not the child.
Considering Carragher was driving his reaction(and loss of control)
was limited to using his mouth.
Swear words would have got him in less trouble as long as they were not racist.

I have no affiliation to any football team, in fact before seeing the news last night I couldn't have told you who he played for.
Firstly the spitting is disgusting and he should be embarrassed and admonished but the other driver IMO is equally at fault if not worse, he instigates the incident by goading him, he is videoing the incident whilst driving with his daughter in the car and continues to do so after he's been overtaken! so hopefully the police will be looking at the clip with a view to a prosecution of the driver.

Looking at the angle I'm not sure he'd see the daughter in the front seat, she's clearly leaning back and you only see a glimpse of her in the clip after the spit, not that it's any excuse.

I agree with all the above, Shameful show by all involved. I'd hope the police take action over the use of a phone to video while driving too.
All Carragher had to do was keep his window up.

Typical teenage reaction to embarrassing parent.
Father is not without responsibility.
Duty of care and all that.

You need to get to know his true colours first like all his charities and children's care,Alzheimer's, cancer etc etc, yes spitting at anyone is vile and yes should be punished but people are slagging him off because of a moment of madness and I'm not sticking up for him just because I know him but if people knew what he is really like they would just say he was wrong and not slag him off. I wonder if the driver of the car gets a fine for use of a mobile phone with kids in the car.

Ive watched him spit at a young girl and as the previous poster added its not the first time he has upset young people - whatever he does for charity is to be commended but this incident isnt about that - hes DISGUSTING full stop !!

Was he spitting at a young girl, he was spiting (disgusting) but it wasn't aimed at the young girl, that was a consequence. Had the wind been in a different direction, had the speed been a fraction higher, had the father decided not to goad him the outcome would have been different.
Yes he's in a position of public scrutiny and should have known better but he isn't the only one at fault and his action wasn't directly aimed at the young girl.

So he does things for charity and he is a smashing fellow to talk to but I'm sorry if the Archbishop of Canterbury spat at me he'd get a punch in the mouth.
As for the idiot who was goading him I suppose the Scum/Star/Mirror are throwing money at him for his "story".
As for his job with Sky it would balance things up a bit if a FEW Rednecks were given the push. I always thought Pundits were little Indian blokes with a sheet wrapped round them and sandals on their plates of meat.

Likewise, I wonder if the police will will prosecute Carragher for common assault (which covers spitting directly at another person).
Not forgetting driving without due care and attention, road rage etc.
