On the left of the New hospital there are to be even MORE houses and to the left of the Old hospital (Infirmary) there is to be a mental health facility.

Oh, yes! They are going to have a massive Lego Crane there on Saturday to lift the lego built departments in place! Don't tell that Lizzy person - but they are actually spending on the NHS!

Staff recruitment and the number of inpatient beds are major problems which this does not address.

No point in extra A&E beds, they will simply become a dumping area rather than using the corridors.

In January, the inpatient bed deficit was running at 25-30 beds and urgent trauma patients were being sent home to await beds in Ormskirk.
Theatres and surgeons were available but without a ward bed they couldn't operate.

The new A & E is going to be in the grounds of the current hospital and not on the building site, the modules will be taking up some of the current garden space.
