Shame really! But it was on the cards because he has never been known for becoming a fixture in anything he chose to do.

Sneaky Boris... I guess he's hoping his resignation will encourage enough no confidence votes to trigger the 1922 Committee. After all, he has to be ready and available for the new PM position!

What an unmitigated disaster this is. I don't particularly like May, nor have I ever thought she was up to the job of negotiating Brexit. However, I doubt that any of the Tory leaders in waiting can do any better. It's a very complex procedure. To be tossed into it at this late stage of the negotiations would be overwhelming.

How does everyone feel about Boris for PM? I would be sitting in the corner wimpering like a baby!

He wants a shot at leadership. All the Brexiteers will have their knives out for each other once Tresseme has been given the boot.

Johnson and Gove will be front and centre. Although Hunt could be a dark horse.

Makes the blood run cold. Talk about better the devil you know.

He started playing the long game from the minute he announced his (fake) support for Brexit. He knows what he wants, and will do anything to get it.

Rees Mogg is the favourite for Brexit supporters at present, Gove is not prepared to take over. To replace Boris Johnston, it may well be the Minister responsible for bearing the PM's Toilet Tissue, the very family privileged, Amber Rudd (I do hope not!) responsible for the limitations on what British citizens are permitted to view on the internet, for announcing that cuts in the Police Force will not affect the crime rate. Although since Abbott has called for her resignation from office - she must have something good about her.

Says an awful lot about some Brexit supporters. Which is unfortunate really, as not all Brexit supporters are gammon faced 'Question Time' misogynists who went to drag the country back to some rose-tinted Empire days, when we were the 'sick man of Europe'. Nor do all want to rip women's rights over our own bodies away from us.

Happily some Brexiteers have the citizen's rights and lives in mind, however misguided I might think they are. If Rees Mogg, in some crossover with a parallel universe, came to power, then civil unrest would surely ensue.

Where have you been for the past forty years? It is not only Rees Mogg who is shocked at the Government proposals for Brexit - but he is the closest to the PM at present. Brexit was not intended to hang on the shirt tails of the EU, nowhere near! There should not be any form of Customs Union, the UK is not to be tied into a single market and has no reason to be, the UK will not be controlled by the EU in any manner or form. The vote was for our own borders, our own laws, our own fisheries - which we should regain now - not in X number of years!
May is pushing for a soft Brexit - this will not work for many reasons, not least of all - it will stagnate our own marketing and choke business. There is no time for these delaying tactics, if the UK is to take the full benefit of breaking away from the EU it has to be done immediately.

We can never go back to the old Empire days - just as those involved can never return to the Ottoman Empire days. But it is necessary to learn from History and move forward into the future - not to repeat history's mistakes!

Women's rights? What women are we talking about? Western white women? They have always enjoyed their rights, in the past they had far more rights than they have now. All women? Not so! Look around you - legislation will not change traditions and beliefs - and even if it did, it is not down to the EU but progress!

We are coming to the biggest change in this country in decades, yet we have a government in disarray, so many factions looking to their own self interest, not giving a damn for the country and the people.

When are brexiteers going to wake up, we are a small group of islands just off mainland Europe, if we wish to trade with Europe we will still have to comply with many EU rules and standards otherwise we will not trade at all with our closest neighbours.

No-one has the remotest idea of just what sort of deal we are aiming for, yet we see leading Tories acting in their own self interest in a blatant power grab, when will they put the country and the people first? probably never.

This whole Cameron fiasco will finish with yet another referendum, creating yet more splits and division, simple fact, we can't pretend that Europe and the EU doesn't exist and has no bearing on our economy, only good point if Tories keep throwing their toys out the pram, we won't need another election because there won't be a government in existence.

As far as Boris gone, good, but he won't go quietly, he will continue to be as disruptive as possible, the guy can't lie straight in bed I suppose he will continue with his interpretation of the truth as long as it serves him, if a better ship comes along he will be first onboard.

We do not want to be governed by someone else, what do you not understand.
Nobody smokes in my house, no law from anywhere will change
    that.
