That which I reported is that which I saw for myself, witnessed and commented upon by others in the party. I did not go to the festival with the intention of criticising - I saw what was there to be seen. Our party consisted of a number of people who have worked in various catering venues all over the UK for some of the more notable companies - obviously, they are very aware of standards are are more likely to be critical, but they were right in what they said. People who perhaps are not so particular may not have noticed anything untoward - it is a subjective topic and was expected to give rise to several different views.
It may have escaped from people's memory - but it was only a few years back, that it was Health and Safety legislation that cooked food was not allowed to be served after having been out for an hour. I happen to be very sensitive to bacteria and would not have been able to stomach many of the foods being served.
There were a few traders who had taken great trouble to present an excellent service, but they were in the minority.
As for dogs, I have owned many dogs in the past - my particular dislike is for dogs who have never had the good fortune to be trained. There is nothing more admirable than a well trained, happy and contented well cared for obedient animal, who is a reflection on its caring, intelligent and proud owner. I was present at the Festival on the Saturday when it was truly a canine free for all.

What he means is that from his perspective it wasn't a festival of food. I think you have interpreted it as he was posting someone else's perspective.

    Fair play, I was.

    My apologies if I'm mistaken.

I am not devout anything! Politically - I go with the party that appears to show most common sense, which is not necessarily picked up upon, nor accurately described in the media. My information is obtained direct from the Government publications. There does not seem to be any party at present that has proven to be as one would desire it to be, they are all too fickle.
