I have not seen any of these sold locally - those used for models and art do have to be purchased on line, unless there is a Model Display taking place as they do sell them there. For cars, you may be able to get one second hand, really depends on what you are using it for. The cost depends on the accuracy that you need. The cheaper art ones (around £100) cannot be controlled as well as the more famous makes (around £250)

Then ideally you would need the more accurate one. I tried two cheaper ones for customising models, but apart from learning how to use such an appliance- I was very frustrated by the lack of accuracy and continuous blocking of the nozzles. I needed to spray paint very tiny areas very evenly. The cleaning is a tedious job as it has to be done with care so you do not lose the tiny parts. (I had to replace a part at one time as it went down the plughole and I could not retrieve it)
Initially I paid around £100 for each that I tried, and sold each for about £50, then I opted for a more expensive one, that was recommended and which had high reviews on the web. The more expensive ones hold their value better - I paid around £250 for mine and would expect to get most of that back if I were to sell it.
