    Achilles' tendon.

One of mine is very painful , think it's a strain , happened during a round of golf last W/E. I've tried ice and strapping it up and rest but still very painful . No apointments at GPS for eight days , and don't want to go to A&E. any medics out there who could say how to treat it .
    Thank in advance . 👍

I hurt mine a while ago.
    The advice was.

Rub in some strong Ibuprofen cream over the painful area(if you have used before with no side effects if not use tiny bit on test patch wait few hours to see ok.)

    Rest the foot.

Even if the cause is not your Achilles tendon relieving the pain and preventing more damage is good.

Golf...my a*se??? If you'd read the instructions on the packet before tying your ankle to the bedpost. You wouldn't have had the strap so tight.

Well Nick, sounds like you have had the same experience i.e. bedpost
It has been said that when helping people change their behaviour – “the spirit in which help is offered” is the most important aspect, more than the degree of skills and knowledge of the helper!
