    Nasty gun stuff warning!!!

That is a 357 magnum Smith and Wesson.
I used to have a 44 magnum Ruger Redhawk like Dirty Harry's - they're a nice machine - I was a bit more accurate than Clint Eastwood though. It's a very accurate handgun. 200 metres with a 10" group isn't hard - with one hand.
All 5 tenpins in 6.9 seconds was my best rapid -you shoot at 7 yards which may sound close, but the effective point on a tenpin is only an inch or two across, just below the narrow of the neck - if you hit anywhere else they just fall over and the rules say they have to clear the table
.456 Casull is now the most powerful by the way - a real hand canon. Easy way to get arthritis early.

With a dog like yours, I'll buy three and let them in
Anyway, the worst that I had so far was BBQ stand £29 then, 3 years old, stolen...not nice feeling though as I would have given this if asked.

Have you heard anything further about this Mattee? Can't believe that the police do not appear to be actively doing anything about this? Just because the officer dealing has gone on holiday shouldnt interfere with the progress of it! Thats madness. I appreciate that one person may be in charge of the case but everything shouldnt come to a standstill just because one person is on holiday?? Surely they need to catch the scrotes and STOP any further attempts! Its bad enough that they have inflicted this upon you all but to still be walking the streets free to do it again?? This infuriates me...

Why they cant get warrants to search their houses for the stolen property is beyond me. Its apparently a group of young males, and from where I know places have been 'hit', it does seam to be in one area. 5 down Kensington Rd, a couple down Hart St and I believe Mattee on here is Forest Rd.
This seems ludicrous! Crimes have been committed, people have been mentally and physically scarred by the actions of these villains, not to mention the belongings that have been taken, some irreplaceable! Surely theres more they can do to catch them before they commit again!! whats the phrase...prevention is better than cure? Hopefully they will catch the thugs sooner rather than later! Also think that the punishment should be fitting for the crimes committed!!

    Interesting story from America.....

A young Oklahoma mother shot and killed an intruder to protect her 3-month-old baby on New Year's Eve, less than a week after the baby's father died of cancer.
Sarah McKinley says that a week earlier a man named Justin Martin dropped by on the day of her husband's funeral, claiming that he was a neighbor who wanted to say hello. The 18-year-old Oklahoma City area woman did not let him into her home that day.
On New Year's Eve Martin returned with another man, Dustin Stewart, and this time was armed with a 12-inch hunting knife. The two soon began trying to break into McKinley's home.
As one of the men was going from door to door outside her home trying to gain entry, McKinley called 911 and grabbed her 12-gauge shotgun.
McKinley told ABC News Oklahoma City affiliate KOCO that she quickly got her 12 gauge, went into her bedroom and got a pistol, put the bottle in the baby's mouth and called 911.
"I've got two guns in my hand -- is it okay to shoot him if he comes in this door?" the young mother asked the 911 dispatcher. "I'm here by myself with my infant baby, can I please get a dispatcher out here immediately?"
The 911 dispatcher confirmed with McKinley that the doors to her home were locked as she asked again if it was okay to shoot the intruder if he were to come through her door.
"I can't tell you that you can do that but you do what you have to do to protect your baby," the dispatcher told her. McKinley was on the phone with 911 for a total of 21 minutes.
When Martin kicked in the door and came after her with the knife, the teen mom shot and killed the 24-year-old. Police are calling the shooting justified.
"You're allowed to shoot an unauthorized person that is in your home. The law provides you the remedy, and sanctions the use of deadly force," Det. Dan Huff of the Blanchard police said.
Stewart soon turned himself in to police.
McKinley said that she was at home alone with her newborn that night because her husband just died of cancer on Christmas Day.
"I wouldn't have done it, but it was my son," McKinley told ABC News Oklahoma City affiliate KOCO. "It's not an easy decision to make, but it was either going to be him or my son. And it wasn't going to be my son. There's nothing more dangerous than a woman with a child."

It really makes me angry that nothing has been followed up Mattee and I can't begin to imagine how you must feel still seeing these people (term used loosely)walking around. I would have thought the police would at least have kept you up to date with what they were doing even if they were trying to get more evidence etc. The not-knowing must be so frustrating.
I really hope you and your family get justice for this horrendous crime.

Annoying isn't it? It seems to me that it is the victim who is left in the dark after a crime and ends up having to chase the Police up.

Mattee thats awful! I'm so sorry that the so called 'justice system' seems to be failing you on such a big scale!! I imagine it must be so frustrating being in your situation and seeing the little ****s swanning around as though they dont have a care in the world! I hope they pay for what they have done to you and your family! And I hope that the punishment fits the crime!

Sending you and your family big hugs! It's not fair that your lives have been turned upside down and put on hold due to these mindless thugs and that they are still out there enjoying their freedom!!

I honestly don't know what I would do in your position, but I understand the anger you must be feeling and I can imagine what the actions are that you wish to take...!! But I think it is a wise decision not to, we don't want to see you inside and neither will your family...Although must be so hard to resist the temptation!
