Hello :-) We have not heard anything, we are waiting to hear when we will be looking at a video ID of a suspect that was arrested. Other than that... I think all the gear will be well gone now, but thanks Ive accepted its gone

my god that is so awful for you , and ur children , i have just had cctv fitted today by mark sheedy it also records matte and when they approach it warns them " you are now being recorded by cctv" dont know if u got any but its pretty cheap by mark sheedy ill put his tel number up for you matte its peace of mind i also bought more cameras so able to see garden and front via me tele in bedroom , he fixed it all up , hope they get the scumbags xx

I faced a break in 6 years back at one of my old addresses, rent money stolen, passport, Xbox, games, DVDs, free view box and damages to the property!!!

That was my reward for going out and working for a living, what's worse is I know who done it but "not enough evidence" to prosecute despite witnesses from neighbours who rang the police and rang me at work.

What did the police do????? Sweet F'all and why???? Basically because they couldn't be arsed!! To them a domestic burglary isn't big enough to pursue all the paperwork, to me, I nearly faced homelessness and if that wasn't enough, I had to pay for damages to the property, but don't worry, I didn't let it drop, they had all their windows put through a week later and I grabbed one of them round the throat outside his home when I caught up with them. My attitude was if the police wouldn't do anything, I'll damn well do it myself. The landlord wasn't going to forget about the rent I owe him, nor was he going to let me off with the cost of the damages as stated in the tenancy agreement, it is the tenant who is responsible for covering the cost of any damages!!!!

I never got any of my stuff back, just a victim support letter which was about as helpful as a chocolate firewall!!!

Your situation must have been much worse as they done it knowingly you were home, I sincerely hope they are found caught and if not officially prosecuted, given a good once over unofficially, enough that they too face a miserable life and loose all dignity.

The laws needs to be changed so that police actually have power to do their jobs the way they should and beat the living scrap out of scum like this, actually make people fearful of the law, because things would change drastically and I can damn guarantee the crime rates would drop if police were allowed to use violence as punishment. This isn't a joke, remember the days when some of you on here would get the cane if you answered back to a teacher or a belt round your arse if it was your parents you gave lip to?

It may have been a cruel punishment, but no punishment is meant to be nice and by god did children have so much more respect for people in authority back then and also for others.

I say if there is anything the Tories need to scrap, it is protection for criminals and cushy lifestyles in prisons, they need to be replaced with some real punishments!!!
