My Parents were robbed last night . Anyone round the chester avenue area please beware. They came in through the back door.
Taken bits and pieces, they are still looking at whats been taken.
ipad, laptop , Volvo car keys (not car) and they also tried to make of with the coats/clothes on end of banister .....Weirdos! Please can you look out for anyone selling these items.

I hope that your parents have taken precautions about securing their car!

With the car keys having been stolen they will need to change all the locks and the ignition.

The car key is actually mine, It was MOT'd yesterday and dropped back at my mums for me to collect tonight after work (typical the one night its there), They have put their car behind it so it cant be moved, so now i've gotta get my locks changed quick.... guessing that wont be cheap.

Not at all - hidden immobilizer switch, or change code on the remote alarm key (If you have one).

They may be able to get into the car, assuming they find it and know where you live, but won't be able to drive it anywhere

Sounds complicated .....but thanks, Do i just ring a volvo company to do that?, Its an S40 so its not a typical ignition key .... its kinda like a plastic USB

A lot of hassle each time you get into the vehicle, though!

We were also burgled on the 18/11/12 when at the Xmas light switch on. We have only lived in the house 8 mths and moved from a council area to here knowing it was a good area. Why can people be so cruel to think you live here and have everything, when clearly we are working hard to make something of our lives? They come and take it away, but not just the items (they can have them) but why your memories? My recently deceased grandmother's jewellery, my photographs on the laptop and camera and the videos on the videocamera of my daughter's first few months from New Zealand where she was born, 22 months ago.

I hate them and the police have now found them. Rest easy people, you are all safe in the knowledge the police are doing a fabulous job and I couldn't be more grateful to how they have been with us. Fingers crossed they get what they deserve.
