an antique for tomorrow is antique for today.

I thought this may interest people in Britain

People from all over the world send me emails and in each country peoples interpretation of an antique differs.

In England on average we think that an item a 100 years old is antique. Some Snooty Antique Dealers think that Victorinia is not antique and it has to be William1V or before to be called the magical name " ANTIQUE". Georgian and Regency are the names the deal in, so snobbish.

In the USA / Canada 50 years may be referred to as an antique.

Well this antique email question refers to an electric clock.

Over the years the antique trade changes if you do not keep up with the changes you will become an antique dinosaur.

A star War Card or a Dr Who Dalek can be worth more than a Regency Chair.

My name is Franny, I reside here in Rio Rancho, New Mexico (suburb to Albuquerque), several years ago I found an antique ceramic clock in an antique shop in Kansas City, Missouri. I’m attaching a couple of photos of it for you to see it. I’m not sure if it’s one of yours or if your familiar with it, but if so please let me know.

    Hi
an electric cable makes me think the clock is not an antique.

Items like this was made in the late 1960's/ 1970's up until today
Made in the style of a French manically wind up clock.

They have little value in the antique or the collectors world.

BUT AM I WRONG................... IS THIS THE NEW ANTIQUE FOR TODAY and not for tomorrow

    COMMENTS PLEASE

    Good luck.

Can't a French clock be wound in a relaxed manner?
