Please could you tell me the age and value (if any!) of this Royal Doulton bowl? It belonged to my grandmother who passed away in 1978 ... she used it as a fruit bowl.
It measures 9" diameter and stands 4" tall.

Yes it is a typical transfer printed Royal Doulton fruit bowl.

occasionally the odd bit of paint is applied to the transfer giving the impression of hand painting.

Made between 1930 and 1950

You will find most items are crazed, looks like crackle ware. This does affect the price.

The design on your bowl is not one of the desirable patterns.

Your bowl is more likely to be at the £30 end than at the £60 end in an auction.
