Old Map of Ireland valuation please?
Hi there,
I have this old map of Ireland seems to be genuine any idea on what its worth?
Its dated 1847 No.5489, makers stamp and signature (William drunean?)
what's interesting is the writing added to it, hard to read- 'forts or batteries' 'barrack stations' and points on the map which have been connected up with straight lines. dates of writing marked- 1848, 1861
20.5inch x 28.5inch
Made from a type of woven fabric on which the paper segments are on so it neatly folds up.
hope you can get more from the pictures and thanks for looking.

Maps like this, made up from squares of papers stuck on a linen back are maps normally found and taken out of books.
If you have the book with the missing map you may pay a lot more than you would just for the map.
Interest value is more than cash value
Under £20
good luck
