Hello,

I inherited this wax seal from my father who found it while doing demolition of some dockside storehouses near London (70's). I'm not convinced of its authenticity as I'm not sure Napoleon would use his name on a wax seal! However my father was of the opinion it belonged to Napoleon for correspondence between him and his generals. I would be interested to hear any opinions! Handle appears to be made of bone or perhaps ivory I can't really tell the difference!

Any information would be gratefully received!

I have sold hundreds of seals but the seal in the photo looks top heavy. and no ware or age.

but I am still interested, why not call into the shop and let me see it.
