Hi John my friend has just found this vase/jar at her Mums, any idea what it is and the value? Del :-)

the small vase is nothing special

the back stamp is the standard one from C1902-1922

and again used from 1927 -1936

"England" pre 1930 on Royal Doulton items

that little spray effect with the gold on the rim of the vase tends to be just before WW1

So I would put the 1915 on the item

In an antiques fair £30-£50

auction £20 -£30

What was his offer?? I was just going on your earlier estimated valuation.

Valuations are like estimates for work required: always get at least three.

I wonder how long it'll be before your man's threatening to ban me again...
