Antique porcelain figure
hello john
i would appreciate your help with this little figure i have.
as i said i'ts porcelain ,hand painted, no mark to base, looks continental , i was thinking late 18th early 19th century??
i was wondering if you could give me your opinion on it?

It looks German, late Victorian Period, I bet it has Bisque feel to it
a poor copy of a meissen figure, Shepherdess, one of a pair
Derby and Chelsea gold anchor also made figures like this and so dd the fakers Samson in France, but they world be much better quality.
Your figure was made for the masses, the working class. sorry to say
Retail £35 to £40
now you will say I bought it in a charity shop for £4 or a car boot for £9
bootle BILL always INVOICE.

no it feels like soft paste porcelain not bisque , it is very creamy , translucent and shinny.
i agree it does have a german look to it.
