champion news paper
FC UNITED of MANCHESTER (not United) 0 - V - SOUTHPORT 1
I did not go to the Sunday game but after reading the Champion newspaper I am confused.
The story read "THE HOSTS SCORED" the away team was Southport.
"SANDGROUNDERS DESERVED TO SHARE THE POINTS"
who won
IT IS A BIT LIKE ABBOT AND COSTELLO

Champion Newspaper
Both of the local rags are a joke, full of spelling mistakes, geographical inaccuracies, place names and street names spelt wrong. Get me a 3 year old to edit them. They could probably do a better job.
Inaccuracies include for instance.
Princess Park (should be Princes)
Princess Street (should be Princes)
London Road (should be Street)

Fc United won 1-0.
Then on we sail,
Never thinking that the wind could ever fail,
No one gets to heaven till they"ve lived a while in hell,
And even then its rare
That you"ll be going there.
Ronnie James Dio. Rip. All the fools sailed away.

I once noticed Longacre Road - on the other site I think. Its grammar and spelling is no better than that of the press.

Yes, they could all do with hiring a proof reader... just to make sure nothing is wrong. Some basic geographical knowledge of the local area would help too.
