Barton
We've had the Tory leaflet for Dukes Ward.
Barton is obsessed with having himself in every photo.
If I vote at all, it will be AGAINST him.
I must study again Armstrong and Aldrin's photos from the moon. I have no doubt Barton will be on there.

The egomaniac isn't currently a Tory. He's an independent (following his, er, little "issue").
Dukes Ward is truly blessed to have both Barton and Dawson representing them. How you can fit both those egomaniacal photo-op whores in a single ward remains a mystery.

It must be truly awful to have a Councillor who works hard and fights to improve his ward for all its inhabitants. So he takes the credit for his achievements (or at least his attempts to get things done), at least he tries.
In Ainsdale our councillors appear to be invisible. Not a single word has been heard from Lynne Thompson since she was elected. I will credit Haydn Preece with fighting to get Kenilworth Road resurfaced (again!) but that's all I can think of that any of them have done to benefit the majority of us for the whole of 2017.
I'm only happy when it rains....

.
He finds out what jobs are scheduled then starts a bit of a campaign then claims the credit. Tries, he is trying, very trying.

Do you truly believe that?

Barton is a band wagon hopper par excellence, every project of any description he appears to proclaim his support, how many of these projects has he had any practical involvement in? would suggest very few if any.
Currently we have a Tory MP who will turn up to the opening of an envelope and an Independent?? Tory councillor functioning on the same lines, same agents/advisors possibly, both are good at apearing at the culmination of a successful project, yet little or no sign of either at the start of any scheme.

Or, we have Labour Party Schemes, arrived at by a Bootle led council who, when everything goes pear shaped as usual - deny all knowledge or responsibility! Heyho - sign of the times!

No-one said Labour or Sefton Council are perfect, what I said was we appear to have a pair of politicians who are opportunists but as far as I can see largely inefective at actually doing anything meaningful, the fact they are both from the "right hand" of the political spectrum just gives more ammo to those of us who detest and distrust the Tories totally.

I know he's a self-publicist, but surely that goes with the job?

To be fair, other councillors too, have gone out of their way to genuinely help those who were in need - but as always, bad news travels faster and wider than good deeds.

Dear Dark side
I am sorry to hear you think I am invisible.I can assure you I have been very busy on Ainsdale's behalf and those that require my assistance seem to have little trouble in seeking me out.I attend a regular free community breakfast where I make myself available for casework.
I too lobbied the Council regarding the poor resurfacing of Kenilworth Road and advised those seeking compensation for damage to cars from the road surface.
.I am still working with residents in George Drive with the One Vision development as I did on the Sandbrook Road development which finished last March.I helped Halifax Road residents with a traffic petition resulting in the Council agreeing to review traffic measures in the road.
I am involved with the Improve Woodvale campaign which led to the removal of a vandalised phone box ,the installation of wooden planters , the clearance of land between the church and Sandbrook Way flats, the rehoming of a tenant who was living in appalling conditions and the exterior refurbishment of a building that has been an eyesore for some considerable time.
I am also working on a long term regeneration scheme for the area .There is a public meeting on 11 Jan at St Johns RC Church. Please do come along I am sure you input would be much appreciated.
I am also part of the Ainsdale in Bloom Team and work with a group of fantastic volunteers keeping the village blooming.
I am also a friend of Ainsdale Park and regularly litter pick when I am walking the dog.
This week I am involved with issues surrounding Ainsdale beach entrance and liaising with Sefton Coast and Countryside to ease the parking issues for those wishing to use the beach in the winter months. You may already know there is now free car parking at the Sands Pub and the temporary overspill car park near Toad Hall was another project I was involved in.
I have a regular drop in advice session at 35 Shakespeare Street every Wednesday morning 10am to 12pm.Come drop in for a cuppa and a chat.
Please do not hesitate to contact me direct if you feel there is more to be done.I do have a Focus leaflet coming out in the next week or so with more information.
