Visitors to the Southport Pier Pavilion today were greeted to rubbish on the floor.
It was quite clear that nobody had bothered to sweep up as some of the rubbish looked like it had been there for days.
Also as £2m is being spent refurbishing the Pier why are vehicles being allowed to drive to the end?
A Transit van belonging to some workmen was parked outside the Pavilion. This must cause damage to the already fragile decking.

Did you mention the litter to the staff in the pavilion?
Did you ask the workmen if they had permission to drive down the pier?
How can you tell how long a piece of litter has been on the floor?

Took the words out of my mouth.
I want to see the forensic evidence that both the litter had been there for days and that the van had caused damage.
